Human or vampire, the rules of survival are the same: never trust, never yield, and always — always — guard your heart.

The adopted human daughter of the Nightborn vampire king, Oraya carved her place in a world designed to kill her. Her only chance to become something more than prey is entering the Kejari: a legendary tournament held by the goddess of death herself.

But winning won’t be easy, pitting Oraya against the most vicious warriors from all three vampire houses. To survive, she will be forced to make an alliance with a mysterious rival.

Everything about Raihn is dangerous. He is a ruthless vampire, an efficient killer, an enemy to her father’s crown — and her greatest competition. Yet, what terrifies Oraya most of all is that she finds herself oddly drawn to him.

But there’s no room for compassion in the Kejari — and nothing more deadly than love . . .

Review -

I really enjoyed this, the reviews I had read comparing this to Hunger Games meeting Vampires were accurate to say the least. Oraya sold this book for me, a very well written character who has you in her corner from the very beginning. Raihn, well yes, an enemy to lover trope was obvious. My husband always says you wouldn't want a real life man like the ones you read in your books... I always find that debatable. Raihn has a cocky attitude and an air of mystery, I liked him from the beginning of the Kejari! Im not big on spoiler reviews so wont give too much away, but I was begging to see them get to together even though they are Human & Vampire!

The story is great and the book is impossible to put down, it's easy to ready in a day or two.
